129 Films from Around the World. Submissions for the ETER Anima Festival 2026 Competitions Are Now Closed

The call for entries for the ETER Anima Festival competitions has officially closed. We received a total of 129 submissions from filmmakers in Poland and many other parts of the world.

Films were submitted from Germany, Croatia, the United States, Hungary, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Ireland, Denmark, China, South Africa, Taiwan, Sweden, the Netherlands, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Switzerland, Brazil, Belgium, Australia and Argentina.

When we began working on the first edition of the festival, we did not know how wide the response would be. We are therefore especially pleased that ETER has already attracted 129 films from so many different parts of the world. It is a great responsibility, but also a sign that animation filmmakers need new spaces where they can present their work and meet audiences, says Patryk Drzewiecki, Director of ETER Anima Festival.

The festival team is now beginning one of the most important stages of the preparations: watching the submitted films and selecting the productions that will become part of the competition programme of the festival’s first edition.

We would like to thank all filmmakers for their trust and for sharing their work with us. The results of the selection process will be announced no later than 17 August 2026.
