Animation begins with movement

ETER Anima Festival is an international celebration of animated film in Łódź. Set in the industrial scenery of EC1, a former power plant transformed into a modern centre of culture and science, the city’s film tradition meets the energy of contemporary Łódź. It is here that the festival presents the full spectrum of animated cinema: from stop motion and computer animation techniques to visual experiments, films for children, short forms and feature-length films.

ETER brings together craft and technology, classic techniques and new visual languages, Łódź’s film heritage and everything fresh, bold and unexpected. It is a place for filmmakers, audiences and everyone who wants to see how emotion is born from an image, movement from a single frame, and an entire world from imagination. Here, animation becomes a living, diverse language of cinema that can entertain, move, surprise and tell stories in its own unique way.
